28-Sep-2026 — Qazi Jawad 0 Comments 76 Views
Abbottabad: Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam returned to domestic cricket after around seven years but was unable to make a significant impact in his first match.
In the match between OGDCL and KRL in Abbottabad, Babar scored only 12 runs in the first innings before being dismissed. He struggled again in the second innings, scoring just 4 runs before being dismissed LBW.
Babar last played domestic first-class cricket in 2019. Several national players are also participating in domestic cricket this season, including Shaheen Shah Afridi and Salman Ali Agha.
Under the PCB central contract, Test specialists in Category A are required to play at least six first-class matches annually.
