Turbat: Unknown armed men opened fire on a trailer and a bowser vehicle near Naseerabad in Balochistan's Kech district, before setting both vehicles on fire.
According to sources, armed men riding motorcycles stopped the vehicles and opened fire, causing their tyres to burst. The attackers then allegedly poured petrol over the vehicles, set them on fire and fled the scene.
No casualties have been reported in the incident. Police and relevant authorities have launched an investigation.
Similar Incident Reported a Day Earlier
According to sources, a similar incident occurred on the same road a day earlier, when a trailer loaded with cement was targeted. Two armed men reportedly stopped the truck, opened fire and damaged its tyres before setting the vehicle on fire. The driver was reportedly released unharmed.
In recent months, several incidents targeting commercial vehicles in Balochistan, particularly trucks carrying fuel and cement, have been reported. Authorities are investigating the incidents.
Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
