Gujranwala: Bride Killed in Gun Attack on Newlywed Couple’s Car While Travelling to Wedding Reception

GUJRANWALA: A bride was killed after unidentified assailants opened fire on a car carrying a newlywed couple near Samanabad Chungi in Gujranwala. The tragic incident occurred on the night before the report, as the couple was travelling to attend their wedding reception. The bride had been married just one day earlier.
According to police, the attackers fled the scene after the shooting. Police initiated an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
Police officials said a case had been registered on the complaint of the deceased bride’s father against three individuals, including two named suspects. The bride’s female friend has also been nominated in the case.
According to the allegations recorded in the FIR, one of the nominated suspects wanted to marry the bride, but her family had rejected the proposal. Police further stated that the female friend named in the case is a relative of the said suspect.
Investigators are examining the circumstances of the shooting and searching for the suspects who fled after the incident. Further investigation is underway to determine the motive and establish the role of each person named in the case.
