PESHAWAR, October 10, 2026: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati has claimed that 11 members of the national and provincial assemblies have allegedly been abducted or arrested.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Swati said the individuals included eight members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly (MPAs) and three members of the National Assembly (MNAs).
He also expressed concern over reports that some provincial ministers and lawmakers were missing and condemned alleged raids on the homes of party members.

According to Swati, those allegedly abducted or missing include provincial ministers Fazal Shakoor and Dr Amjad Ali, along with Abdul Salam Afridi and Muhammad Riaz.
He further named MPAs Sultan Room, Yameen Khan and Muhammad Azam Khan among those reportedly missing.
Swati also said he had received reports of the alleged arrests of Fateh-ul-Mulk Nasir and Dawar Kundi.
