Major Development in Hazara Province Movement: Bill Submitted to National Assembly and Senate, Referred to Relevant Committee.

MANSEHRA: A significant development has emerged in the long-standing movement for the creation of Hazara Province. According to a statement issued by leaders of the Hazara Province Movement, the bill seeking the establishment of a separate Hazara Province has been submitted to both the National Assembly and the Senate and has now been formally referred to the relevant committee for consideration. The statement credited Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Chairman of the Hazara Province Movement, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, for his continued efforts and leadership in advancing the demand. Movement leaders described the development as an important milestone, stating that the demand for a separate province reflects the aspirations of the people of Hazara, who have a distinct cultural, linguistic and historical identity. They said the demand has remained a longstanding public issue and has been raised on various political and public platforms over the years. The leaders expressed hope that progress in the relevant committee would help advance the process towards the establishment of Hazara Province. However, referral of the bill to a committee is a step in the legislative process and does not mean that the creation of the province has been approved. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the movement until their demand is addressed.
