ABBOTTABAD: The district administration has accelerated efforts to facilitate the expansion of the Karakoram Highway (KKH) and remove illegal encroachments. Boundary demarcation is currently underway along the highway from Supply to Qalandarabad, with markings placed at a distance of 65 feet from the road's centre.
According to details, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Hamidullah Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner Revenue Afshin Rehman inspected the ongoing demarcation process along the Karakoram Highway.
The exercise is being carried out in connection with the proposed expansion of the highway and the upcoming operation against encroachments.
During the process, the relevant staff marked boundaries extending 65 feet on both sides from the centre of the road to identify the designated limits of the highway.
The initiative aims to facilitate the highway's expansion, identify encroachments within the designated limits and improve traffic flow along this important route.
The demarcation process is part of the district administration's preparations for the proposed anti-encroachment operation from Supply to Qalandarabad.
