Abbottabad: FIA Arrests Proclaimed Offender in Illegal Visa Agent Case.

Abbottabad, October 16, 2026: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Composite Circle Abbottabad, has arrested a proclaimed offender, Shakeel Ahmed, son of Shaukat Ali, in connection with a case involving alleged illegal visa dealings. The suspect is a resident of Nadeem Park Colony, Tehsil and District Kasur.
Action Under FIA Peshawar Zone Directives
According to details, the arrest was made as part of an ongoing crackdown against illegal visa agents, following directives from the Director of FIA Peshawar Zone. The operation was led by Sub-Inspector Bilal Tanoli.
Accused of Collecting Money for UAE Work Visas
According to the FIA, the suspect was wanted in FIR No. 05/2023, registered on January 11, 2023, under Sections 18-B and 22-B of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979. A court had declared him a proclaimed offender in the case.
The suspect is accused of collecting a total of Rs. 523,500 from complainants on the pretext of arranging work visas for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Two-Day Physical Remand Obtained
FIA officials stated that the arrested suspect was presented before a court, which granted the agency a two-day physical remand for further investigation.
