Abbottabad: Residents Begin Voluntarily Removing Encroachments at Kala Pul Ahead of Possible Anti-Encroachment Operation.

ABBOTTABAD: Some shopkeepers and building owners at Kala Pul have started voluntarily removing encroachments in anticipation of a possible anti-encroachment operation by the National Highway Authority (NHA), in an effort to avoid potential financial losses.
According to details, the NHA has reportedly established a 65-foot building line along the Mansehra Road. Markings have been placed on structures allegedly extending beyond the designated limits, and notices have also been issued to the concerned property owners.
Sources say that following the notices and in view of the anticipated operation, some residents have begun removing portions of their shops and buildings that fall within the designated building line. The move is aimed at preventing greater financial damage during a possible enforcement operation.
According to sources, a formal anti-encroachment operation along Mansehra Road is expected on Monday. During the operation, structures and encroachments falling outside the designated limits may be removed.
Meanwhile, residents and members of the business community are hoping that the relevant authorities will ensure proper identification of encroachments, advance notice and compliance with legal procedures to minimize inconvenience and unnecessary losses.
