Omar Nawaz Khan Responds to Social Media Propaganda: “I Will Never Support Oppression; I Will Always Stand With the Oppressed.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Nawaz Khan has issued a clarification regarding what he described as a negative propaganda campaign against him on social media, rejecting attempts to associate his name with an incident about which he says he has no knowledge.

In his statement, Omar Nawaz Khan emphasised that his political approach has always been guided by principles of dignity, morality, mutual respect and tolerance. He maintained that political differences should never become a reason for personal hostility, character assassination or disrespect.
He said that he has always believed in respecting everyone who conducts political activities within the boundaries of decency and ethical values, regardless of their political affiliation.
Rejects Allegations and Social Media Campaign
Addressing the ongoing discussion on social media, Omar Nawaz Khan said that over the past several days, negative propaganda had been circulated against him, with his name being linked to an incident that he claims he has no knowledge of.
He said he considered it necessary to issue a clarification so that people could understand his position rather than forming opinions on the basis of unverified claims and social media posts.
He stressed that allegations should not be treated as established facts without proper investigation and supporting evidence.
I Will Not Support Oppression, Even If the Perpetrator Is a Close Relative”
Emphasising his stance on justice and fairness, Omar Nawaz Khan said that he would never support an act of oppression, regardless of the identity or relationship of the person responsible.
Even if the oppressor is my own brother, someone from my village, a relative or any person close to me, I will never stand with oppression.”
He further pledged that he would always stand alongside the oppressed and raise their voice, irrespective of their political party, community, family or background.
According to him, this is not a newly adopted position but a principle he has followed throughout his political journey and intends to uphold in the future.
He maintained that justice should never be determined by personal relationships or political affiliations and that anyone facing injustice deserves support.
Calls for Evidence and Verification of Facts
The PTI leader also highlighted the importance of establishing facts before reaching conclusions about any incident.
He said that allegations should be supported by clear and credible evidence and that all relevant facts must be brought forward before any final opinion is formed.
He invited anyone possessing authentic evidence of oppression, abuse or injustice to present it through the appropriate channels.
He reiterated that if someone has been treated unfairly despite being on the right side, he would not hesitate to raise his voice in support of that person.
Appeals to Social Media Users to Promote Positivity
In the concluding part of his statement, Omar Nawaz Khan appealed to social media users to use digital platforms responsibly and for constructive purposes.
He urged people to promote truth, justice and positive messages instead of engaging in character assassination, abusive language or spreading negative propaganda without verification.
He said that spreading unverified allegations and insulting others is neither ethically acceptable nor consistent with Islamic teachings.
He also reminded social media users that everyone is accountable to Allah Almighty for their words and actions.
