PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has stated that anyone who crosses Pakistan’s border will be given a strong response.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, the governor said, “Those who remained in power for 13 years should be held accountable, yet we are being asked to account for just 13 days.” He also alleged that the Afghan government had carried out a cowardly attack, adding that anyone crossing Pakistan’s border would face a strong response.
Governor’s Stance on Encroachments
Commenting on the issue of encroachments, Faisal Karim Kundi said that the Information Adviser had also urged individuals occupying encroached land to vacate it.
He stated that the relevant administration would decide the status of Mufti Mahmood Centre. He further remarked that those who preach justice and religion but are themselves accused of occupying public or government land should consider what message they are conveying to others.
The governor emphasized that all matters relating to encroachments were being examined transparently by the relevant department. He said he would not recommend special treatment for anyone, adding, “If my own house is built on encroached land, it should also be demolished.”
Inquiry into Dir Colony School Incident
