Battagram: Seven Booked, Including Sub-Inspector, Over Alleged Assault on Family of Child Sexual Abuse Victim; Police Officer Suspended

BATTAGRAM: Police have registered a case against seven individuals, including a serving sub-inspector, over an alleged assault on the family of a minor child who was reportedly a victim of sexual abuse in the Allai tehsil of Battagram district. The police officer named in the case, Sub-Inspector Naeemullah, has been suspended.
According to police details, the case was registered at Bana Police Station under FIR No. 329, dated October 8, 2026, under Sections 337-A(i), 337-F(i), 506, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Seven individuals, including Sub-Inspector Naeemullah, have been nominated in the case.
DPO Battagram Takes Strict Notice
District Police Officer Battagram Qamar Hayat Khan has taken strict notice of the incident and directed the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and protection of the affected child and his family.
Sub-Inspector Naeemullah, who has been named in the case, has been suspended. Police officials say efforts are underway to arrest the other nominated suspects and that legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
DSP Headquarters Appointed as Inquiry Officer
DSP Headquarters Amjad Ali Khan has been appointed as the inquiry officer to investigate the incident.
According to the information provided by the police, the relevant aspects of the case will be examined and further proceedings will be conducted in accordance with legal requirements.
DIG Hazara Orders Protection for Child and Family
DIG Hazara has also directed the authorities to ensure the protection of the affected child and his family.
