NADRA Official Fahad Khan, Nephew of Politician Noor Alam Khan, Shot Dead in Peshawar’s Hayatabad.

PESHAWAR: A tragic shooting incident in Hayatabad Phase 5 of Peshawar claimed the life of Fahad Khan, an official of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The deceased was reportedly the nephew of prominent politician and Member of the National Assembly Noor Alam Khan.
According to initial reports, the incident took place on Friday, November 6, 2026, near the NADRA office in Hayatabad Phase 5. Unidentified armed assailants opened fire on Fahad Khan in the parking area behind the NADRA office, leaving him fatally injured.
Police officials said that Fahad Khan was arriving for his duty when he was targeted by the armed attackers. He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Following the incident, a police team rushed to the location, secured the crime scene and began collecting evidence. According to police sources, eight empty bullet casings of a 30-bore pistol were recovered from the scene and taken into custody as part of the investigation.
The body was shifted to a hospital for legal formalities and post-mortem examination. Investigating teams are examining different aspects of the incident, including CCTV footage from the NADRA office and surrounding parking area, to identify the attackers and establish their movements before and after the shooting.
Fahad Khan belonged to the Kafur Dehri area of Peshawar and was the son of Sharoom Khan. He was also the nephew of MNA Noor Alam Khan and the late former chairman of Tehsil Mathra, Fareedullah Khan.
MNA Noor Alam Khan also confirmed the killing of his nephew through a social media post and expressed grief over the incident. He described the attack as an act of terrorism; however, police have not yet officially established the motive behind the killing.
Police officials stated that an investigation is underway and efforts are being made to identify and arrest those responsible. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and investigators are examining all possible angles.
The incident has raised serious concerns among residents, particularly regarding the security of employees and visitors at public offices. Citizens have called on law enforcement agencies to ensure the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and strengthen security arrangements around government institutions.
The tragic death of Fahad Khan has left his family, relatives and colleagues in deep sorrow. The incident has also drawn attention to the need for effective security measures to protect public servants and ordinary citizens.
