Pakistani-American businessman Sajid Tarar has strongly criticized Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Safdar over his personality and recent statements.
Speaking on a program aired by private TV channel Neo News, Tarar claimed that Safdar was unemployed and referred to a statement allegedly made by Safdar regarding receiving 1,500 Saudi Riyals from his father-in-law for his living expenses.
Tarar further criticized Safdar for allegedly making defamatory remarks against senior lawyer Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, describing him as one of Pakistan’s leading lawyers, and accused Safdar of seeking publicity through the controversy.
The controversy emerged after Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Safdar, while speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court, allegedly questioned the authenticity of senior advocate Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon’s LLB degree.
In response, Ahsan Bhoon reportedly sent Safdar a Rs5 billion legal notice over the alleged defamatory and damaging remarks.
