MANSEHRA: Despite a recent anti-encroachment operation, encroachments have once again begun appearing on Garhi Road, prompting the Assistant Commissioner Mansehra to revisit the area along with her team.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, Assistant Commissioner Ms. Sana Fatima visited Garhi Road on Saturday to review the situation following the recent anti-encroachment drive.
During the visit, she inspected the roads and footpaths that had been cleared and restored during the operation. She also warned shopkeepers who had allegedly re-established encroachments to refrain from occupying public spaces.
The Assistant Commissioner announced that daily monitoring and inspections of Garhi Road would begin tomorrow. She warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators, including heavy fines and the sealing of shops where necessary.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to keeping roads, footpaths and public passageways clear of encroachments, emphasizing that no one would be allowed to illegally occupy public land.
The public and shopkeepers have been urged to cooperate with the administration to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure easy access for pedestrians.
